Well hello there! It’s been a while, which I apologise for. there hasn’t been much happening with me lately, I’ve been focusing my efforts on learning new songs, writing new songs, doing “back office” stuff etc. However! I am pleased to announce I have two gigs coming up in Glasgow within the next week.
The first of these is on Sunday 28th July when I will be performing at an acoustic night at Glasgow’s Pivo Pivo. I played there before a few years back so will be nice to be back. I’ve not been informed on who the other acts are yet, but I’m sure it will be a great night. The gig starts at 7:30pm and entry is £5 on the door.
The next one is a performance at the launch night of somewhereto_re:store, which is a wonderful project focused on bringing the arts to disused spaces. It has already been a success in other parts of the UK, so I am looking forward to help launch this in Glasgow. This will take place at DNA, 12-16 South Frederick St and begins at 6pm. This gig is free entry and there will also be free drinks on arrival, possibly some nibbles too!
At both of these gigs I will be performing some of my brand new songs, as well as some new trad and cover songs I have been learning recently. Looking forward to gigging in Glasgow again and I hope to see you there!
In other news, proud to say that a great fan and friend of mine, Michael Gille, was flaunting his “Travels” executive producer t-shirt with pride at the Hebridean Celtic Festival last week…Michael, thank you for showing your support!
